Question: What is the name of this rash that is seen in the setting of thermal-related injury?

Answer: Erythema ab igne. Repeated thermal exposure causes hyperpigmentation, erythema, epidermal atrophy, scaling and telangiectasias. It can occur with use of heating pads, hot water bottles, electric blankets, space heaters and other localized heat sources. Read more with this CMAJ article
