Question: What is the name of this skin condition that typically presents on the anterior tibial areas and ankles, seen in patients with diabetes?

Answer: Necrobiosis lipoidica! This is a granulomatous dermatitis that is associated with degeneration of collagen and seen in the legs most often and in patients with diabetes. The first line of treatment is usually avoidance of trauma, counseling of topical corticosteroids and can also involve intralesional corticosteroids.
