Question: What is the physical exam finding on this patient’s hands and what disease entity is it typically associated with?

Response: These are “Gottron’s papules” classically seen in dermatomyositis. These lesions can be seen over other extensor surfaces such as the elbows, knees, and medial malleoli and at times can be confused with psoriasis.
