Question: What is the eponymous name of the branching, frond-like cutaneous skin pattern above, and what causes it?

Answer: This image shows a Lichtenberg figure, or a cutaneous lesion in a striking branching pattern that occurs following a lightning strike! The same process can also create striking markings on wood, trees, and rocks.
