Wellness Update: Breaking the Stigma

In recent months, wellness in medicine has become a growing focal point. The mental health of medical students-or better put, possibly lack thereof-has garnered a considerable degree of interest in light of a study released in the Journal of the American Medical Association. But the problem is not just restricted to medical students, it is also pervasive among practicing clinicians of all levels. In this week’s post, I strongly recommend reading the following piece through the eyes of a “human being, a husband, a father, a pediatric palliative care physician, and an associate residency director.” It is a brave story to share, with powerful messages for us all.
